The Natural Resource Management in Africa (NRM) Working Group will host its first free research symposium on Thursday, March 28th from 4:00 – 6:00pm in the UFII/UFBI Seminar Room (E251 CSE Bldg) (refreshments provided). This is a chance for undergraduate and graduate students from ALL DISCIPLINES to present their research or proposed research on natural resources or management in Africa (e.g., from working with communities near protected areas to studying tick-borne diseases). Plus, presenters will be scored by a panel of judges with the first place presenter winning $200 and the two runner-ups winning $100 each to be used for travel or research related purposes.

Presentations are only 5-minutes each, making this a free and easy way to practice presenting, hear feedback on your research, and compete for prize money! If you would like to present, please fill out the information at this link by Thursday, March 14. Limited space is available and first come first serve. We will notify presenters as to whether they have been selected to present by Friday, March 15.
