What we do at UFBI

From molecules to ecosystems, we explore the world’s past and present biodiversity at all levels of organization. Our focuses are on the relationship of biodiversity, climate change and the sustainability of natural and human environments. Scientists and students alike evaluate data from all relevant sources on their topics of interest and distribute newly synthesized information to people in the community seeking validated information on biodiversity.

Analyses by UFBI scientists will lead to development of new methods, products, and technologies for accelerating discovery, improving understanding, enhancing conservation and disseminating information on the planet’s biological diversity.
